Product Overview: The DME Smart Start DSS-15-12 is a microprocessor-based process temperature controller designed for precision heating applications in industrial environments. It accepts Type J thermocouple inputs and provides closed-loop temperature control with adjustable setpoints, typically ranging from 32°F to 1000°F. The controller features dual digital displays showing process value and setpoint, manual and automatic control modes, a 100% power output function, and configurable alarm outputs. It operates on either 120V or 240V AC input (field-selectable via jumpers) and controls heating loads through relay or SSR outputs. Common applications include plastic injection molding hot runner systems, extrusion equipment, packaging machinery, and other processes requiring stable temperature regulation with deviation monitoring and alarm capabilities.
