Product Overview: The USB-Digital CMM Interface Unit is a data acquisition and control interface designed to connect Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to computer systems via USB. Manufactured by Helmel Engineering Products, it processes position data from CMM X, Y, and Z axis sensors and transmits measurements digitally for inspection and quality control applications. The unit contains 5V and 12V linear voltage regulators, 74-series logic ICs for signal processing, and requires both external 9V DC power and USB connection to operate. It features status LEDs for power and axis error indication and includes an internal cooling fan.
