Product Overview: The LH Research MM306/115 is a 750-watt switching power supply from the MM Mighty-Mite series that converts 115 VAC input to a regulated 28 VDC output at 26 amps. It uses a push-pull topology with Darlington chopper transistors, pulse transformers, and feedback control circuitry including unijunction transistors and logic ICs for pulse width modulation. Commonly deployed in military radar and navigation systems, it is used in the AN/TPM-18A radar set and the AN/FRN-41 VOR system, identified by NSN 6130-01-076-9331.

Common Failures
Units have been received with issues such as no output voltage, failed transistors, and damaged circuit board traces. Some units also showed shorts in output components and issues related to solder joint integrity.
Repair Approach
Repairs have included replacing transistors, capacitors, and resistors as needed. Diagnostic testing is performed to identify issues with output voltage and component failures. In some cases, circuit board traces are repaired and solder connections are reworked to address issues from prior repair attempts or manufacturing defects.
Testing & Quality
Repaired units undergo diagnostic testing and are verified for functionality. Units are tested under load conditions up to 20A. Some units may be determined to be beyond economic repair due to proprietary components or other technical limitations.
