18EZ Power Control

The 18EZ Power Control series from Payne Engineering is a family of SCR-based power controllers designed to regulate power delivery to industrial loads. These controllers use phase-angle firing control to modulate output, commonly in response to analog input signals, making them well suited to industrial heating applications such as paper processing, plastic extrusion, and thermal control systems.

The series spans two primary voltage classes — 230VAC (18EZ-2 models) and 440VAC (18EZ-4 models) — across a wide current range, from 10 amps up to 1200 amps. This allows selection to match a broad variety of resistive load requirements. The series also includes a Softstart control module for applications requiring controlled ramp-up of power.
