590P 591P DC Drive
The 590P / 591P DC Drive series from Eurotherm is a family of DC motor controls used to regulate the speed and torque of DC motors in industrial machinery. The series pairs the 590P four-quadrant regenerative drives, which support bidirectional operation and regenerative braking, with the 591P non-regenerative drives for single-direction applications.
These drives are commonly applied in paper processing machinery and related equipment such as winders, unwinders, and tension control systems where precise motor control is required.
Range and Ratings
The series covers a broad range of current and voltage ratings to suit different motor sizes:
- Current ratings: from approximately 15A up to 2700A
- Voltage ratings: 220V, 500V, 600V, and 690V models
- Control types: regenerative (590P) and non-regenerative (591P)
Drives are offered across multiple frame sizes — including Frames 1 through 5 and Frame H — corresponding to the various power ratings within the series.
