Anti-Tie Down Module

The Anti-Tie Down Module series brings together control modules and relays designed to enforce two-hand safe operation on industrial machinery. These devices require simultaneous activation of two separate controls—typically palm buttons—preventing operators from bypassing or "tying down" one button to circumvent the safety requirement.

The series spans products from several manufacturers, including Nolatron, Pinnacle Systems, Challenge Machinery, and R-K Electronics. It includes dedicated anti-tie down operation modules as well as octal-pin and 11-pin plug-in relay versions, with configurations such as 115VAC coils rated for 10 amps.

Anti-tie down modules monitor the timing between control inputs to confirm both are engaged within a required window, ensuring proper operator hand placement. They are commonly applied to punch presses, stamping equipment, and other machinery that requires operator safety interlocks.
