ControlLogix PLC
The ControlLogix PLC series comprises Allen Bradley 1756-family automation components built around the modular ControlLogix chassis architecture. These products work together to form programmable logic controller systems used in manufacturing, process control, material handling, and machine control applications.
The series is predominantly made up of PLC modules and related components, along with a selection of power supplies and control assemblies. Devices install into 1756 ControlLogix chassis and communicate over the backplane and industrial networks.
Product Types in This Series
- Processors: Logix5555, Logix5561, Logix5562, and Logix5563 controllers, plus processor/memory modules.
- Digital I/O: a broad range of digital input and output modules covering AC and DC voltages, isolated and diagnostic variants.
- Analog I/O: analog input, analog output, and combination modules, including thermocouple and RTD input types.
- Communication modules: Ethernet/IP, ControlNet bridge, DeviceNet bridge, and Data Highway Plus/Remote I/O interfaces.
- Specialty modules: high-speed counter, servo, hydraulic servo, and programmable limit switch modules.
- Power supplies and chassis: standard and redundant ControlLogix power supplies, chassis adapters, and I/O racks.
All products in this series are manufactured by Allen Bradley.
