DPA1 Series Phase/Amp Power Control
Overview
The DPA1 Series from Halmar Robicon (also branded Robicon) is a family of SCR-based power controllers used to regulate AC power delivered to resistive and heating loads. These units use phase-angle or full-cycle firing to provide proportional power control, typically accepting a 4-20mA analog input signal.
Ratings and Configurations
The series spans single-phase and three-phase models across a broad range of voltages and current ratings, including:
- Voltages: 120V, 208V, 240V, 416V (European), 480V, and 600V
- Current ratings: 25, 30, and 50 amps
Many models support multiple line voltages (120/208/240 VAC), and several variants offer adjustable bias and gain settings for tuning output.
Applications
DPA1 controllers are commonly applied to industrial heating and process equipment such as heaters and dryers. They are frequently found in paper manufacturing processes where regulated power delivery to resistive loads is required.
