Epsilon EP Servo Drive
The Epsilon EP Servo Drive series is a family of three-phase, 240V AC servo drives from Control Techniques and Emerson, designed for precise motion control of servo motors in industrial automation. The series spans a range of output current ratings—from roughly 2.2A up to 16A—allowing selection to match the demands of a given axis or machine.
These compact drives deliver variable-frequency output to power servo motors and are configured using Control Techniques PowerTools software. Depending on model, they offer network communication options such as RS-485/RS-422 and PROFIBUS-DP for integration into automated systems.
Common Applications
Epsilon EP drives are commonly found in:
- Packaging machinery
- Printing presses
- Paper handling and material processing equipment
- Automated material handling systems
Model numbers in the series (for example, the EP2xx range) primarily identify the output current rating and communication configuration, making it possible to cross-reference an existing unit for repair or replacement.
