FX2N Series PLC

The FX2N Series is a family of compact modular programmable logic controllers (PLCs) manufactured by Mitsubishi as part of the MELSEC product line. The series centers on base units that provide integrated processing, power supply, and I/O in a single housing, supplemented by expansion output modules.

Products in this series include base units with both relay output and transistor output configurations, available in 48 and 64 I/O point capacities. Base units feature built-in DC power supplies and support ladder logic programming with battery-backed memory for program retention. The series also includes a 16-point relay output expansion module for adding additional switching capacity.

Common Applications

FX2N controllers are used in automated manufacturing, packaging machinery, and process control systems, where relay outputs directly switch AC/DC loads and transistor outputs handle higher-speed switching tasks.
