G Series Transducer

Overview

The G Series Transducer family from MTS (marketed under the Temposonics brand) consists of magnetostrictive linear position sensors. These transducers use a movable magnet and time-of-flight measurement along a waveguide to provide precise, non-contact position and displacement feedback. Position is converted into an electrical analog output signal proportional to magnet location along the sensing rod.

The series spans a range of stroke lengths and housing styles, including rod-style (GPS/GPV) and profile or housed (GHS/GHT) configurations, with various output and connector options.
