Short-Stop
The Short-Stop series is a family of motor braking control units manufactured by Woods and AmbiTech. These units provide rapid, controlled deceleration of AC motors by delivering a DC braking pulse when activated, quickly stopping motor rotation in industrial machinery.
The series spans a range of horsepower ratings, including 2HP, 4HP, 5HP, 8HP, 10HP, and 15HP models, identified by SSU-series part numbers across several generations. All products in this series fall under the Motor Controls category and are commonly applied in paper processing, converting, and material handling systems.
