Short-Stop Type D
The Short-Stop Type D series is a family of motor control units manufactured primarily by AmbiTech, with one unit from Woods. These devices provide motor stopping and braking control for industrial AC motor applications.
The series spans a wide range of horsepower ratings, from 2 HP up to 100 HP, covering small drives through large-capacity motors. Units are identified by the SS-xD part number format and include variants for different configurations, such as three-phase and 575V models, ISO board options, and dedicated brake units.
Common Applications
As motor controls, these units are used to manage the operation and stopping of AC motors across a variety of end equipment where controlled motor braking is required.
