Wheel Balancer Motor Controller

The Wheel Balancer Motor Controller series comprises motor control boards manufactured by REP and Syncro for automotive tire balancing equipment. These boards regulate the operation of the balancer's spin motor, managing functions such as starting, stopping, speed control, direction, and braking during tire balancing cycles.

The boards are commonly used in Coats wheel balancers, including models such as the 700, 950, 1000, 1050, 1055, 1250, and IBS 2000. Depending on the specific board, motor power is switched using solid-state relays or SCR-based power control, with features such as optocoupler isolation, protective fusing, surge protection, and thermal management for the power semiconductors.

This series brings together related control boards used across multiple generations of wheel balancing equipment, providing options for repair or replacement of the motor controller in these machines.
