Product Overview: The Krautkramer Branson DM5E is a portable ultrasonic thickness gauge used for non-destructive measurement of material thickness in metal fabrication, petrochemical pipelines, storage tanks, and structural inspection applications. This complete kit includes the DM5E display unit, dual-frequency ultrasonic probes (5 MHz and 7.5 MHz), connecting cable, calibration blocks, coupling gel, and carrying case. It measures thickness by transmitting ultrasonic pulses through materials and calculating thickness based on sound velocity and echo return time, typically measuring steel, aluminum, and other metals from approximately 0.1 to several inches thick.
