The Repair Process: What to Expect
Once you’ve decided that repair is the right choice, understanding the process can help you minimize disruption and keep your operations running smoothly. In this installment of our series, we’ll walk you through each step of the repair process so you know exactly what to expect from start to finish.
Step 1: Identify
The first step is troubleshooting your system to determine the failed module. Be sure to document all symptoms to provide a clear picture of the issue (as examples: "Output 3 does not turn on"; "Error code 403 when cycling off"; "No power to the main circuit board"). This valuable information speeds both the diagnosis and the repair.
Step 2: Request
Next, fill out and generate a Return Authorization form online, or contact a member of our customer service team via phone or email and have one sent to you.
Step 3: Ship
Carefully package your unit(s) and ship them to our repair facility using appropriate packaging and a reliable carrier to prevent damage during transit. Use electrostatic discharge bags to prevent damage from static electricity; pack with at least 2" of protective foam around all sides and use double-walled corrugated cardboard for heavy items.
Step 4: Receive
Upon arrival, we will log the receipt and any accompanying documentation, photograph each unit from multiple angles to capture its condition on arrival, and assign a unique serial number to each unit to provide & maintain an accurate record before beginning the evaluation process.
Step 5: Evaluate
Our skilled technicians perform an initial assessment to visually inspect and determine the feasibility of an effective repair. A quotation is then prepared, providing the repair costs and the expected turnaround time. If more information is needed, either regarding the unit itself or the problem it is having, a customer service will contact you.
Step 6: Approve
If you have any questions about the quote, please ask - we’ll address any/all details to ensure you have a complete understanding of the proposed work before proceeding. Only after you provide approval, will we move forward with the repair.
Step 7: Repair
The actual repair begins with scheduling and assigning the unit(s) to a qualified technician, based on expertise and workload capacity. Using documented repair techniques and high-quality components, the technician works to restore full functionality. If something unexpected is found during the repair (unique, non-stocked components need to be sourced; an atypical anomaly is detected), either customer service or a member of the technical team will contact you to determine next steps. Once complete, the unit is tested to verify proper operation and then goes through final inspection to ensure quality standards are met.
Step 8: Return
Once repaired, we securely pack and ship the unit(s) back to you using either your selected delivery service or an appropriate carrier. You can even come in to our facility to pick-up your item(s) and take a tour while you are here! Our goal is to ensure your repairs units reach you safely and efficiently, and in optimal working condition.
Step 9: Install
Finally, reinstall your repaired unit(s) and get back to work with confidence.
Step 10: Warranty
While each unit is meticulously tested and inspected to function reliably, if something doesn't work as planned, our repairs are backed by a two-year warranty, providing you with the ultimate assurance in the quality and dependability of our service.
