1332 Bulletin AFAC Drive
Originally introduced around 1987, these AFAC drives have been used anywhere variable speed operation is required in a standard induction motor. Operating off 3 phase lines at 50/60 Hz and 230, 460 and 575 Volts AC these drives cover the horsepower range of 3/4 to 20 HP (1.2 to 24.3 kVA)
These are easily programmed sine weighted pulse-width modulated transistorized drives operating between 3 and 240 Hz with a controllable Volts/Hertz output. Typical applications use a speed pot or 4-20mA speed reference, start and stop buttons with a Forward/Reverse switch.
Common options available for this drive include a remote operator station, preset speeds, adjustable minimum speed, a BCD interface and heavy duty dynamic breaking to increase breaking torque from approximately 20% to 100%a.
These drives are highly serviceable and easily repaired by Control System Labs. From the control system, the 6-diode converter, bulk capacitors to the transistorized inverter section; most parts for this series are still available. Why replace your drive forcing you to re-engineer your system when you can easily repair it?
