Arrow Board Controller

The Arrow Board Controller series consists of microprocessor-based control units manufactured by Wanco for portable arrow board traffic control systems. These controllers manage LED and halogen arrow displays used in highway work zones, road construction sites, and traffic management applications to direct vehicles safely around lane closures and hazards.

Most units in this series are solar-powered, integrating battery charging circuitry to store solar energy and maintain operation during low-light conditions. Controllers typically offer 7 or 12 selectable flash patterns—including left arrow, right arrow, and caution modes—chosen via rotary or selector switch. Common features across the range include automatic and manual brightness adjustment through a photoresistor, low-voltage warning or shutdown protection to preserve battery life, and MOSFET-driven LED output channels.
