Model 36D Power Controller
Overview
The Model 36D Power Controller series from Payne Engineering is a family of single-phase power controllers that convert AC input to variable DC output for controlling inductive or resistive DC loads. These units use SCR-based phase control circuitry to regulate DC voltage.
The series spans three input voltage ratings — 120V, 240V, and 480V — across a broad current range from 10A to 1200A, allowing selection for both light and substantial power control needs.
Applications
Model 36D controllers are used in industrial power control applications, including hydropower turbine excitation systems and industrial motor field control.
