Ratiotrol Beta RB Series
The Ratiotrol Beta RB Series from Boston Gear is a family of adjustable-speed DC motor controls. These drives statically convert single-phase AC line power to regulated DC for armature control of shunt-wound and permanent-magnet motors.
The series spans three model families — RB1, RB2, and RB3 — covering fractional and low-horsepower applications. RB1 units serve the 1/12 to 1 HP range, while RB2 and RB3 units cover 1/2 to 2 HP. Configurations include standard drives, reversing models, and variants with special options such as magnetic reverse.
Applications
These controls provide adjustable-speed operation for equipment driven by shunt-wound and permanent-magnet DC motors within their rated horsepower ranges.
