TYPE FPM DC Drive

The TYPE FPM DC Drive series from Bodine Electric is a family of fractional horsepower DC motor controls belonging to the company's 800 Series. These units regulate the speed of permanent magnet DC motors using phase angle firing with SCRs, and provide motor starting, stopping, and forward-brake-reverse switching functions.

The series spans a range of power ratings, from approximately 1/50 HP up to 1/3 HP, with typical models operating on 115VAC single-phase input. Available formats include open-frame control boards, enclosed panel-mounted units with potentiometer speed adjustment and rotary direction selection, and integrated motor assemblies.

Applications

These variable-speed DC controls are used with industrial machinery such as conveyors and packaging equipment, and other end equipment requiring adjustable speed regulation of fractional horsepower DC motors.
