VariSpeed A2000 DC Drive
The VariSpeed A2000 DC Drive series is a family of DC motor controls used for variable speed control of DC motors in industrial applications. The series is produced primarily by Danfoss, with additional products from Hampton Products and Graham. These analog, SCR-based drives provide forward and reverse speed regulation and are commonly found in equipment such as paper handling machinery, conveyors, and other systems requiring precise DC motor speed control.
Power Ratings
The series spans a range of horsepower ratings for fractional and low-integral HP applications, from 0.5 HP through 3 HP. Single-phase input models are included, along with configurations for various armature and field voltage requirements.
Option Cards
Several models are available as stand-alone drives or with add-on option cards. The series includes:
- Isolation option cards (such as the AGA0 and AGB0 boards)
- Reversing option cards
- Enclosed and open-frame configurations, with or without cases
