PowerFlex 4 AC Drive
PowerFlex 4 AC Drive Series
The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 4 is a family of compact AC variable frequency drives designed for basic variable speed control of AC induction motors. These entry-level drives convert fixed-frequency input power into variable-frequency output using IGBT-based technology, offering V/Hz control with programmable parameters for start source, acceleration and deceleration rates, and motor protection.
The series spans a range of input voltages and power ratings to suit different installations, including:
- Input voltage: 120VAC, 230/240VAC, and 460/480VAC options
- Input phase: single-phase and three-phase models
- Power ratings: from 0.5 HP up to 5 HP
Configurations include panel-mount units with IP20 enclosure ratings and fixed keypads for local parameter programming and control. Common applications include conveyors, fans, pumps, packaging machinery, material handling, and HVAC systems in light industrial and commercial equipment.
