Thermonic Temperature Controller
The Thermonic Temperature Controller series comprises analog temperature controller modules manufactured by Arburg for use in plastic injection molding machinery. These units regulate barrel, nozzle, and mold heating zones by monitoring temperature via thermocouple input (commonly Type J) and controlling heater output, typically through a solid-state relay.
The series covers several closely related configurations sharing a common analog control architecture. Variants differ mainly in how temperature is displayed and adjusted, including models with analog setpoint potentiometers and digital readouts, as well as versions with LED deviation indicators that show temperature variance from setpoint for quick operator feedback. Typical control ranges span from about 50°C to 450°C.
Common Features
- Analog control circuitry with either digital display or LED deviation readout
- Thermocouple input for zone temperature monitoring
- Solid-state relay heater output control
- Integrated power switch and heater-on indication
These controllers are found throughout Arburg injection molding machines and similar industrial heating applications requiring precise, zone-based temperature regulation.
