F6000 Power System Simulators

The F6000 Power System Simulators series comprises amplifier control boards manufactured by Doble Engineering for use in the F6000 family of power system test sets. These simulators are used to test and commission protective relays and power system equipment in utility substations, power generation facilities, and electrical testing laboratories.

The series contains two primary card types: I Amplifier Cards, which provide current output signals, and VI Amplifier Cards, which provide combined voltage and current amplification. Both generate precise waveforms that simulate real-world power system conditions, allowing engineers to verify relay settings and performance before energizing actual equipment.

• VI Amplifier Cards — voltage and current amplification boards across multiple revisions of the 04S-0679 and 04D-0679 part numbers, used in models such as the F6150 and F6150SV.

These boards incorporate current and high-voltage amplification circuitry with components including power MOSFETs, and operate within the broader F6000 test equipment platform.
