2Z Series 3 Phase Power Control
Overview
The 2Z Series comprises three-phase SCR (silicon-controlled rectifier) power controllers from Halmar Robicon and Robicon. These units provide proportional control of three-phase AC power to resistive and inductive heating loads, using thyristor switching to regulate output from 0 to 100%. Many units accept a 4-20mA analog control signal for precise power regulation.
Ratings and Range
The series spans a broad range of line voltages and current ratings, including 240V, 480V, and 575V models with current ratings from 60A up to 500A. The family also includes supporting components such as the 2Z trigger board, which generates the gate firing pulses that drive the SCRs.

2Z Series controllers are commonly used in industrial heating and thermal processing equipment, including:
