microTrac 1, 2, and 3

The microTrac 1, 2, and 3 series comprises microprocessor-based temperature control products manufactured primarily by Conair (also known as Tempro), with related terminal hardware from IPEG. These controls regulate oil and water temperature in industrial cooling equipment, including water temperature control units (WTCUs) and portable chillers used throughout plastics processing applications such as injection molding and extrusion.

The family spans the complete control system across three controller generations, from operator interfaces to the boards and connection hardware that support them.

Products in this Series

• Chiller controls and control panels — microprocessor-based controllers with LED displays, tactile pushbuttons, dual thermocouple inputs (typically Type K), and relay outputs for heating, cooling, pump, and ventilation functions.
• Motherboards and control boards — main control PCBs with opto-isolated circuitry, RS-232 communication, and configuration storage.
• Terminal blocks and connector boards — WTCU and universal terminal blocks and interface PCBs providing wiring connection points with varistor surge protection.
• Panel overlays — operator panel membrane overlays for the microTrac 3.

Products in this series are cross-compatible across the microTrac 1, 2, and 3 platforms, with several components shared between the microTrac 2 and 3 generations.
