ULTRACON SCR Control

The ULTRACON SCR Control series from Woods is a family of SCR-based DC motor controls and drives designed for variable speed control of DC motors in industrial applications. These units use silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) technology to regulate armature voltage, providing smooth, adjustable motor speed and torque control for permanent magnet and shunt-wound DC motors.

The series spans a broad power range, from fractional-horsepower models through 7.5 HP units, allowing selection to match a wide variety of single-motor applications such as paper machinery and lathes. Products are offered as both Ultracon SCR Motor Controllers and Ultracon DC Drives, with numerous configurations identified by model designations including the J, JA, JC, JCA, U, UA, UC, and UCA families.
